Fire Safety
As reported by the National Fire Protection Association every home should have a working smoke alarm in every bedroom, outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home. Smoke alarms should be interconnected and hard wired with a battery back-up for maximum coverage.
Did you know that smoke alarms expire? You should test your smoke alarms monthly and replace them every 10 years or sooner.

No Heat?Have you checked the Emergency Switch? The emergency switch is located either on the furnace or very near the furnace or boiler and at the top of the basement or attic stairs depending on where your equipment is located. It is usually easy to spot, it looks just like a light switch and normally has a red cover plate. This switch needs to be in the "on" position in order for your furnace or boiler to operate.
